*Video* 2013 Trek Shift 2 - Has it been awhile? Get back on that saddle with this bike.

So maybe it's been a few years since you've ridden.

Trek has you in mind with this bike's design. It's easy to get back into the saddle. Literally! The low profile of the frame actually makes it easier to get on the bike.

Imagine the shape and compliance of a mountain bike frame and suspension fork, combined with a wider, more comfortable seat that sits on a suspension seat post for extra bump dampening.

Even shifting through the 21 speeds of this bike is made easy with the help of the GripShift shifters. All you need to do is twist the shifter from 1 (the easiest)  to 7 (most difficult) to find the best gear for you.

We're ready to put you on one so you can take a test ride, we know you will love this bike! Bumstead's is located on 1038 W. 4th St. in Ontario. You can reach us at 909-984-9067 or check out our website: www.bumsteadsbikes.com

(VIDEO) BikeRadar calls 2013 Trek Domane 2.0 "Best Bike Under £1000 (approx. US$1500)

The 2013 Trek Domane 2.0 offers the ultimate in high-speed cruising comfort.

Trek domane 2.0:
  • Weight: 9.57kg
  • Frame: Aluminium
  • Fork: Carbon, alloy steerer
  • Groupset: Shimano Tiagra
  • Wheels: Bontrager alloy
Throughout the Domane range Trek have introudced their ‘IsoSpeed decoupler’ pivots - Instead of a fixed connection between top tube, seatstays and seat tube this new design allows the seat tube to bow back and forth in response to road or rider loads. A slimmed down pivot section at the top of the tube also means you get a more flexible skinny seatpost, while the Affinity saddle is generously padded too. The result is that the Domane 2.0 offers the ultimate in high-speed cruising comfort.
That's not all though, expect sweet handling, surefootedness and a chassis that is responsive under power.

By isolating the seat tube, the frame absorbs road shock, not your body. This means you'll ride faster for longer. IsoSpeed also improves handling and pedaling!A perfect match for the Domane frame, the IsoSpeed fork offers ride-smoothing compliance. Cornering precision and front-end stiffness are still exceptional. From the E2 head tube, to the BB90 bottom bracket, to the rear wheel, Trek's Power Transfer Construction turns every last bit of energy into forward motion. The 90mm wide bottom bracket lets Trek build the frame with larger tubes for increased power transfer. The bearings are housed in the frame which saves weight.

The 2013 Trek Dual Sport Series Are The Best Multi-Use Bikes

Everyone knows Trek is a world leader in mountain bike technology.

They produce some of the most technologically advanced mountain bikes on the market.

Each platform is a leader in its class and is loaded with features and details that will make any ride, on any trail, better. Take the Dual Sport for example.  A nimble hybrid with suspension, extra tread, and a moderate position for people who want the freedom to ride everywhere. If you can only have one bike, you want to get a dual sport. Sure, they get you from point A to point B faster than most other bikes, but there is so much more to this line!
SO much more, that it's hard to believe that these Gary Fisher collection bikes start at such a low price, with the quality they provide. There is such attention payed to detail like: the color-matched fork and ferruels on the cables.  They ride smooth, and help you find your love for adventure. Fast on the road to get you where you need to go: work, school, or other, yet has capable suspension and offers a confident ride on trails.
Take your inner mountain biker out once in a while, with massive tire clearance on this bike you will be able to use tires as big as XDX 29"x1.8" MTB tires (without fenders). This light, strong frame is rack and fender ready, and is plenty equipped to do some weekend warrior trail riding! It's clear that hydroforming isn't just for show and the frame is stiffer and lighter for it.

Trek begins the lineup with the 8.1 DS. Alpha Gold Aluminum, using manipulated tube shapes to balance strength and weight saving. 21 Speeds and easily accomodates 700x35c tires with fenders or up to an XDX 29"1.8" MTB tires without fenders. The 8.1 and all other Dual Sport bikes also come Bontrager saddles and bars to ensure complete comfort no matter how long you ride.

The 8.2 DS receives a shock-absorbing suspension fork that allows the front wheel to travel up and down over bumps while the handlebars stay steady, for a comfortable, controlled ride.

Now we start moving into the big leagues with the 8.3. It comes with a nice upgrade to a Shimano Acera crank and rear derailleur, and is also outfitted with mechanical disc brakes. It's SR Suntour NEX MLO front fork is preload adjustable with lockout and has 63 mm of travel. You can expect this fork to deliver smooth riding and nimble handling over even the most potholed roads and bumpiest paths..

The next step is the 8.4 and which means you get an upgraded Alivio crank, Shimano Deore rear derailleur, and Bontrager Satellite Elite ergonomic grips. You jump up to 27 speeds on this model, ensuring you always have the right gear on the road.

The 8.5 is doing a great job as the second best bike in this lineup, boasting a fantastic Shimano SLX rear derailleur and Shimano hydraulic disc brakes that provide ultimate control and stopping power.

All hail the 2013 Trek 8.6 DS. It is the ultimate two-in-one bike. Trek's proprietary IsoZone frame gives suspension that is built in to the frame. Your suspension lockout is remote controlled by a lever on the handlebar, making the 8.6 one of the best of the Gary Fisher Collection.

Why Is 2013 Trek Superfly SL 100 Bicycling.com's Pick for Cross

Best 2013 XC Mountain Bike: The Superfly 100 SL

In a recent Buyer's Guide for XC Mountain bikes, Bicycling magazine listed the 2013 Superfly SL 100 as one of the top bikes in the category!

Trek thinks even more highly of their creation. They believe that XC bikes are specifically designed to jet through the woods, whether they are hardtail or full suspension. Trek says the redesigned 2013 Superfly is lighter and more stable than all of them. Their goal in constructing the Superfly was to make the lightest and best balanced bike in the XC market. Years of designing, prototyping, investigating and research by dozens of people has been done in order to make this group of bikes the best, lightest, stiffest around. Check out this video straight from Trek.

"We did more prototyping, more investigating in this project than we ever have"

"When you look at the Superfly (SL) and the Superfly 100, you're going to see the two best bikes ever from Trek."

On the trail, the Superfly is a speed demon. Its light weight frame and 29" wheels make it fly over the terrain with ease. The Fox Race tuned-rear shock has been meticulously researched and developed... the kind of quality you can only find on a Trek bike.

Speed wasn't Trek's only focus, they pack as many features as they can onto the Superfly (100) :

OCLV Mountain Carbon. Nobody knows carbon like Trek. This is their strongest yet.

Bontrager Race X Lite tubeless ready wheels means durability and aerodynamics. Scandium alloy rims, optimized forged hub shells that feature improved drive mechanism durability over the previous generation. Race X Lite wheels continue to beat the competition.
CTD gives you three suspension adjusmtent options: Climb, Trail, or Descend. Simple, intuitive, high performance system.

• A traditional front derailleur attaches to the frame with a band clamp. Trek's direct-mount front derailleur attaches directly to the frame using a solid flat interface. This fastening method ensures crisper, more accurate front shifting.

Avid XX Hydraulic Disc Brakes are engineered to wring out as many grams as possible with aluminum lever body and calipers. They aren't just light, they're shockingly light.

Innovative derailleur placement doesn't require a band clamp, or the additional frame material for direct mounting. Reduces weight without compromising performance.

• BB95 is a 95mm OCLV Carbon bottom bracket with precision-fit sockets and press-fit bearings. Its wide stance is a stronger, stiffer platform, compatible with all major crank manufacturers. Combined with Mag EVO Link and hi-lo stays, BB95 helps your wheels track each other, rather than twist and turn with each bump.

• A 15mm front thru axle makes steering more precise for more control, and the quick-release feature makes wheel removal easy. Trek's robust and confidence inspiring rear thru axle is about 35% stiffer than an open dropout design. (142x12)

• Trek's exclusive Flow Molded carbon linkage minimizes material and weight while maintaining a strong bracing angle for a more rigid frame.

Internal Control Routing provides a route for cumbersome shift and brake systems through the frame for a sleeker, quieter system. Save your frame from cable rub and save weight!

MicroTruss housing guides are built right into the frame, for the lightest, cleanest external cable routing.

• Other full suspensions systems firm up under braking, reducing your control when you need it most. Trek's patented Active Braking Pivot solves that by keeping your suspension active whether you're on the brakes or off.

• Evoke the benefits of Bontrager's groundbreaking, university-backed research into rider anatomy, cycling biomechanics, saddle shape, and how these factors combine to influence saddle comfort and proper blood flow. The result: saddles that are not only more comfortable, they're better for your body. This bike comes with an Evoke 2 saddle.

The Superfly Also comes in an Elite Model. It features some upgrades in the comfort and drivetrain department. Bontrager upgrades include a Race X Lite Carbon handlebar and stem. Shimano upgrades the drivetrain and the brakes to the Deore XT setup. The Superfly Elite also goes on a diet with it's OCLV Mountain carbon seat stay (100g savings) and compact crankset.

At the top of the Superfly foodchain is the Superfly 100 Pro SL. If you've got the bucks, it's the only way to ride.

Upgrades include a RockShox SID World Cup XX full carbon fork that delivers comfort to your hands for all day riding, a Fox Factory Series shock (with Kashima coat) to eat up every possible obstruction, a complete SRAM XX drivetrain for precise and sure shifting, and Avid XX World Cup brakes for the stopping power you need when you can get a bike to go as fast as this one.

VIDEO - 2013 Trek Domane 4.0 — Dominate the Road!

The 2013 Trek Domane 4.0 is Absolutely Incredible

It is packed with amazing features for all you serious cyclists. To start, it's fully carbon and is designed for the racers that want a bike that goes just as fast as any other bike. The Domane but is built for comfort, even over unforgiving cobblestone roads.

In order to fulfill the needs of these racers, Trek has been working around the clock for years. Their engineers have come up with a design called "isospeed." Isospeed means that the seat tube is completely isolated from the rest of the frame to make the seat mast act like extra suspension without compromising the stiffness of the frame.

The bottom bracket is stiff and wide, which aids in acceleration despite the extra backward flex allowed by the seat mast. It's always a hassle when your chain comes off of your crank, but this year Trek has introduced a "chain keeper" to keep your chain in place even when you are at the top of your cadence.

At the end of the day, this bike is as comfortable as a touring bike, yet as fast as a racing bike. There's nothing better that a good two-in-one.

Come to Bumstead's to test ride this incredible machine. We are located at 1038 West 4th St. in Ontario. (909) 984-9067

Mountain biking has been taken to the next level with Trek's 2013 Remedy 9.9. It's got an ultra light frame, 150mm of travel in it's suspension, and super precise handling. Trek lays the foundation for the greatness of this bike by using its OCLV mountain carbon. They tailor it to the rigors of off-road use. They preserve the lightweight and great carbon feel, while at the same time reinforcing all the right areas. The 9.9 is the ultimate tough, technical trail bike that goes anywhere.

There are tons of features on this bike for the avid trail rider. CTD suspension is available on select Fox shocks and forks, and it is a simple, intuitive, high-performance system that gives you three suspension options: climb, trail, or descend.

There are tons more features for the avid trail rider. DRCV front and rear shocks offer efficient, simple, and plush big hit control. There's also the full floater suspension system that attaches to the bottom of the shock at two moving linkage points in order to better respond to bumps on many types of terrain.

One thing that Trek has implemented for extra ease of the ride is a Reverb seat post. This seat post gives you 125mm of controlled-speed seat height adjustment with an hydraulically actuated handlebar-mounted remote. Trek even sealed it off with a custom sealing system, ensuring quality even in bad weather.

Trek's 2013 1.5 Road Bike - Review - Great Value Bike

2013 Trek 1.5 Road Bike

The 2013 Trek 1.5 Road Sport Bike

An absolutely amazing value!!

Trek pays the same amount of attention to detail and features on their entry level sport bikes as they do on their high-end bikes. The frame on the 1.5 is Trek's 100 series Alpha Aluminum, and it comes with 10 gears which is the standard in race performance gearing. It's compact 2 chain ring crank saves weight while still offering a great combination of climbing power and flat land speed.

Trek uses their classic H2 fit which puts a slightly higher head tube than normal, giving extra comfort to the back and neck. It's tour tested geometry has the perfect balance of handling comfort and acceleration.

Shimano Tiagra STI shifters are an awesome addition for the 1.5. They are trigger shifters that have a nice optical display for easy gear reading, and contain both the up/down triggers and the brake lever in one spot, allowing for a more efficient ride. The front and rear derailleurs are also by shimano, as well as the 12-30, 10 speed cassette.

The comfort aspects of the bike are handled easily by Bontrager. That means you can trust that the saddle, handlebars, and grips will have excellent geometry and will help to reduce road fatigue over longer rides.

Come check out this very affordable but very nice bike at Bumstead's Bicycles. We are located at 1038 W. 4th St. in Ontario. 909-984-9067

2013 Trek WSD 7.6 FX! Review: Check it Out for Yourself at Bumstead's Bicycles

2013 Trek FX 7.6 WSD Women's Specific Roadbike

Trek knows that a great fitting bike is a joy to ride. They implement their Women's Specific Design to maximize comfort, stability, power and control. It's not hard to see why women love the 2013 Trek FX 7.6 WSD. Some may call it a fitness bike, but there is so much more to it.
Trek uses their standard Alpha Gold Aluminum frame, although this bike is anything but standard. To start, Trek engineers have spent more than a year designing what they call the IsoZone damping feature that absorbs road buzz at a critical point in the frame, effectively reducing rider fatigue. It kills vibration that the rider feels the most at a rate twice that of any other system on the market. To add to this comfortable feature, Trek also placed lightweight carbon fiber legs on the fork.

20 gears on an FSA Vero Crank and a Shimano drivetrain show that this bike isn't all about comfort. It's Shimano Deore 10 speed shifters are trigger actuated, making it amazingly easy to shift. The Shimano Tiagra front derailleur and Deore Shadow rear derailleur to make compatibility a non-issue.

What else could you need? Stopping power! Tektro RX 1.0 brakes are easy to adjust, and the levers can be fine tuned to brake as hard or soft as you need.

Come to Bumstead's Bicycles today to check out this incredible fitness bike. We are located at 1038 W. 4th Street in Ontario California. You can reach us by phone at (909) 984-9067 and visit our website for more information www.bumsteadsbikes.com
