2013 Trek Rumblefish 29er Pro Available NOW at Bumstead's!

The Trek 2013 Rumblefish 29er Pro offers 120mm DRCV travel, great small-bump compliance, awesome big hit control.

Let's cut to the chase. The 2013 Rumblefish 29er Pro has 120mm front and rear DRCV travel. With DRCV you can have it all. Most full suspension air-shock bikes use small-volume canisters for pedaling efficiency, but they don't have the best big-hit control. Our solution is a Dual Rate Control Valve that has two chambers which has the best blend of efficiency and simplicity. The front fork also has Trek's DRCV technology to give you exactly the suspension you need for every inch of your ride. That means great small-bump compliance, smooth mid-stroke travel, and awesome big-hit control.
Some maintain that having 29" wheels makes the handling sleepy, but Trek used G2 Geometry to solve that issue. They have included a custom-offset fork and used advanced frame geometry so you have precise handling at low speed, and excellent stability when at higher speeds. The 29" wheels also hold momentum better, so you can keep rolling over the rough stuff and maintain speed through corners.

Come see the 2013 Trek Rumblefish 29er Pro at Bumstead's Bicycles. We're ready to put you on one so you can take a test ride, we know you will love this bike! Bumstead's is located on 1038 W. 4th St. in Ontario. You can reach us at 909-984-9067 or check out our website: www.bumsteadsbikes.com

VIDEO - 2013 Trek Domane 4.0 — Dominate the Road!

The 2013 Trek Domane 4.0 is Absolutely Incredible

It is packed with amazing features for all you serious cyclists. To start, it's fully carbon and is designed for the racers that want a bike that goes just as fast as any other bike. The Domane but is built for comfort, even over unforgiving cobblestone roads.

In order to fulfill the needs of these racers, Trek has been working around the clock for years. Their engineers have come up with a design called "isospeed." Isospeed means that the seat tube is completely isolated from the rest of the frame to make the seat mast act like extra suspension without compromising the stiffness of the frame.

The bottom bracket is stiff and wide, which aids in acceleration despite the extra backward flex allowed by the seat mast. It's always a hassle when your chain comes off of your crank, but this year Trek has introduced a "chain keeper" to keep your chain in place even when you are at the top of your cadence.

At the end of the day, this bike is as comfortable as a touring bike, yet as fast as a racing bike. There's nothing better that a good two-in-one.

Come to Bumstead's to test ride this incredible machine. We are located at 1038 West 4th St. in Ontario. (909) 984-9067

2013 Trek Remedy 9.9 Mountain Bike Review - You'll Love the Look

2013 Trek Remedy 9.9 Mountain Bike

Mountain biking has been taken to the next level with Trek's 2013 Remedy 9.9. It's got an ultra light frame, 150mm of travel in it's suspension, and super precise handling. Trek lays the foundation for the greatness of this bike by using its OCLV mountain carbon. They tailor it to the rigors of off-road use. They preserve the lightweight and great carbon feel, while at the same time reinforcing all the right areas. The 9.9 is the ultimate tough, technical trail bike that goes anywhere.

There are tons of features on this bike for the avid trail rider. CTD suspension is available on select Fox shocks and forks, and it is a simple, intuitive, high-performance system that gives you three suspension options: climb, trail, or descend.

There are tons more features for the avid trail rider. DRCV front and rear shocks offer efficient, simple, and plush big hit control. There's also the full floater suspension system that attaches to the bottom of the shock at two moving linkage points in order to better respond to bumps on many types of terrain.

One thing that Trek has implemented for extra ease of the ride is a Reverb seat post. This seat post gives you 125mm of controlled-speed seat height adjustment with an hydraulically actuated handlebar-mounted remote. Trek even sealed it off with a custom sealing system, ensuring quality even in bad weather.

There's a reason why Trek is one of the number one brands in the country. To see all of those reasons, you need to test ride a bike like the 2013 Trek Remedy 9.9.

Trek's 2013 1.5 Road Bike - Review - Great Value Bike

2013 Trek 1.5 Road Bike

The 2013 Trek 1.5 Road Sport Bike

An absolutely amazing value!!

Trek pays the same amount of attention to detail and features on their entry level sport bikes as they do on their high-end bikes. The frame on the 1.5 is Trek's 100 series Alpha Aluminum, and it comes with 10 gears which is the standard in race performance gearing. It's compact 2 chain ring crank saves weight while still offering a great combination of climbing power and flat land speed.

Trek uses their classic H2 fit which puts a slightly higher head tube than normal, giving extra comfort to the back and neck. It's tour tested geometry has the perfect balance of handling comfort and acceleration.

Shimano Tiagra STI shifters are an awesome addition for the 1.5. They are trigger shifters that have a nice optical display for easy gear reading, and contain both the up/down triggers and the brake lever in one spot, allowing for a more efficient ride. The front and rear derailleurs are also by shimano, as well as the 12-30, 10 speed cassette.

The comfort aspects of the bike are handled easily by Bontrager. That means you can trust that the saddle, handlebars, and grips will have excellent geometry and will help to reduce road fatigue over longer rides.

Come check out this very affordable but very nice bike at Bumstead's Bicycles. We are located at 1038 W. 4th St. in Ontario. 909-984-9067

Looking For 2013's Best Hybrid Bike? We Found it: Trek Dual Sport 8.6

Trek's 2013 Dual Sport 8.6 is the perfect bike for someone who wants to ride around town or commute to work, as well as satisfying the needs of the mountain biker inside.

It's the right solution for the multi purpose rider, designed for weekday-to-weekend versatility. Trek uses Alpha Gold aluminum that is formed into tube shapes that effectively balance weight and strength. It's designed to absorb 20mm worth of roots, curbs, and railroad tracks without a shock. They call it IsoZone, and it adds comfort and durability directly to the frame. In addition, Trek utilized a handlebar-mounted control for on-the-fly suspension lockout as you switch terrain. A remote lockout means an easier time on the trail as your hands don't even have to move from the handlebars to execute this function.

The bike easily accommodates the standard 700x35c tires with fenders, but you can also use Bontrager XDX 29"x1.8" MTB tires without fenders for those weekend trips to the light trails and fire roads.

This bike is comfortable, ergonomic, and capable which are all essential for the everyday rider. Having the choice of tire size is also a nice feature for those who plan to use the bike for different purposes. The 2013 Dual Sport 8.6 is fast and efficient on pavement, and is capable and confident on dirt.

Come to Bumstead's Bicycles, located at 1038 W. 4th St. in Ontario, CA. We have the DS 8.6 as well as the rest of the 2013 Trek lineup. We want you to come and take a test ride, because we know this is the bike for you.

Women Love the 2013 Trek Lexa SL, and It's Easy to See Why!

Men aren't the only ones looking for a fast, light, confidence inspiring road bike. Women do too, and they find it in the 2013 Trek Lexa SL!

100 Series Aluminum is used on the Lexa, which is Trek's high performance aluminum. It uses complex tube shapes for a great combination of strength to weight. Trek also decided to use the H3 WSD fit on the bike, which offers a slightly higher head tube as well as a but shorter top tube to allow you to ride more comfortably, for longer. Comfort is one of Trek's top priorities, and it shows. They use Women's Specific design in their road and mountain bike construction. Trek knows that a great-fitting bike means more joy from the ride, great comfort, excellent power and stability, as well as awesome control.

It goes without saying how excellent it is to have Shimano STI shifters and brakes at the same location on the handlebars. This gives you complete control over the gears while giving you the ability to brake should you need to. Shimano Tiagra derailleurs complete the package, providing compatibility and a sure, swift shift every time.

Trek cares about comfort, so they have used Bontrager components in that field. An Affinity 1 saddle, 20mm offset Race seatpost, and Gel Cork tape take away a lot of the discomfort associated with longer rides. Your sit bone and hands are gently cradled by these comfy yet firm Bontrager components.

Don't think you're getting the whole picture by reading this review. You really should come to Bumstead's Bicycles to see this bike for yourself. We are located on 1038 West 4th Street in Ontario. You can also easily reach us by phone at 909-984-9067, or check out our website for a full product catalogue. www.bumsteadsbikes.com

2013 Trek Madone 2 Series is Even More Incredible than Last Year!

For years, the Trek Madone was a leading carbon fiber road racer used by local riders as well as Lance Armstrong.  The light weight and advanced design of the Madone carbon frame gave cyclists a big performance edge over others not as lucky to be riding this bike.  Trek has recognized the need to bring the design of the Madone down to a lower price point so for 2013, Trek is introducing two Madone models in aluminum.  The Madone 2.1 and 2.3 deliver a lot of the benefits of their carbon big brother but at half the price.

Equipped with a carbon fork and seat post and Shimano 105 10 speed components the Madone 2 series is perfect for racing, triathlons, weekend group rides or that early Saturday morning ride by yourself where you just want to see where the road takes you.

We are located at 1038 W. 4th Street (4th and Mountain) in Ontario and our phone number is (909) 984-9067.  If you have questions about the 2013 Madone, give us a call or drop by the shop and check them out in person.
